TimeView for Office
File mail and documents to TimeView, and register time, without leaving Office.
This address hosts the add-in itself. There is nothing to use here — the add-in appears inside Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint once it is installed.
Install in Outlook
Microsoft removed the Add from URL option, so the manifest has to be downloaded first.
- Download the Outlook manifest
- Go to aka.ms/olksideload. Outlook on the web opens and the Add-Ins for Outlook dialog appears after a few seconds.
- Choose My add-ins.
- Scroll to Custom Addins at the bottom, then choose Add a custom add-in › Add from File.
- Pick the file you downloaded and accept the prompts.
Installing here also puts the add-in in your Outlook desktop clients. In classic Outlook for Windows it can take up to 24 hours to appear, because of caching. If the Custom Addins section is missing entirely, your account lacks the Exchange My Custom Apps role — ask your administrator.
Install in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
There is no per-user sideload for these hosts, so the Office manifest has to be deployed by an administrator through Microsoft 365 admin centre › Settings › Integrated apps › Upload custom apps, or placed in a shared folder catalogue.
Ask your administrator, or see docs/deployment.md in the repository.
Removing it again
In the same Add-Ins for Outlook dialog, find the add-in under Custom Addins, choose the ellipsis (…) and then Remove.
